Frequently Asked Questions

Q. What are your ColorFill toners made of?

Our ColorFill toners are made up of a proprietary formulation. Our ColorFill toners have been thoroughly tested and are as good as or better than O.E.M. quality standards.

Q. Will the ColorFill match the color of my car?

Yes. All of our ColorFill toners are derived from original factory paint codes. You will need to provide this information when you order.

Q. Where is my paint code?

Every manufacturer uses a different location for the paint code.  Here is a guide to help:  Find Your Paint Code

NO, our ColorFill toners create a chemical bond with the surface of your car that makes it chemical and weather resistant. While traditional body shop repairs cover a base coat color with a clear coat, our formulation delivers shine and resilience without this additional process.

Q. How long will my paint last?

If you are referring to the storage of the paint after use, the ColorFill toners will air dry and need to be stored properly. ColorFill typically lasts 1-3 years if properly stored. The Final Touch Compound will last for years.

If you are referring to the life of the product after application, if the ColorFill is allowed to properly air dry, 2-3 days, it is as permanent as touch up gets.

Q. Who makes your paint?

We do.

Q. When will I receive my order?

We pride ourself on fast delivery, easy ordering, and quality products. You can usually expect to receive your kit or supplies within 5-10 business days from when you place your order, all depending on our stock, your location and shipping method.  A email confirmation containing your package tracking information will be sent to you when your order is on the way.

Q. Can you send products to PO Boxes?

No, we cannot send our products to PO Boxes.

Q. Do I need any other equipment to do my job?

No, our kits come with everything you need to complete your restoration.

Q. Can I expect this touch up restoration to turn out as good as a body shop paint job?

Our touch up process is very good, but it simply cannot reproduce the original finish as well as a body shop can. The idea behind TouchUp 123 is to camouflage the chips and scratches so you do not see them at a glance. We do not claim that it is a perfect repair.

Q. Should I thin out the ColorFill?

No, our ColorFill is designed to be used at full strength to provide maximum fill in the chips.

Q. How much ColorFill do I need for the part I’m repairing?

We provide enough product and materials to easily restore the hood, front fenders, front bumper, both mirrors, and any other minor touch up around your vehicle. Most people will be able to save the remaining product for another 1-2 applications in case they get more chips.

Q. Can TouchUp 123 be used on plastic bumpers or fiberglass?

Yes, TouchUp 123 can be used on any clear coat painted surface.

Q. Is this repair permanent?

Absolutely! The only precaution, as with any newly applied paint, is to not power wash or machine buff the repaired areas for 2-3 days to allow the ColorFill to fully cure.

Q. Can I damage my car using TouchUp 123?

TouchUp 123 will not affect OEM (original equipment manufacture) clear coat painted surfaces.

Q. What about metallic paints?

TouchUp 123 works on any color. Metallic paints, silvers and golds, have to be applied with care to avoid problems with the "color flop". Color flop is the term given when metallic flakes in the chip reflect light giving you a lighter or darker appearance. This is a variable we cannot control. For best results, shake the paint very well to get the metallic flakes evenly distributed through the ColorFill before you apply it.

Q. What about scratches?

Scratches are just "long" chips. The larger the damaged area, the more patience required to get the job done right.
